bottom line is, this is arum's doing, he makes the money here, and everbody should be hip to what arum does by now.

as boxing fans, we will all be enticed slightly to watch the fight, but IMO, the only way to stop arum from doing this type of thing, is for ppl to stop paying for it.

of course, i can only speak for myself, i can't stop anybody else from watching, i'll do my part for the greater good of the sport tho. i won't be watching at all. ppv, bar, friend's house, or otherwise.....

this **** does 200K, b/c ppl don't pay for it, maybe arum would take a hint.
    Discouraging people from watching boxing?

Boy that will be a big help with boosting the popularity of the sport!

I'd tell my friends I think the fight is bull**** and Arum is probably the only person ****ing boxing up worse than HBO, Golden Boy and Floyd right now.
i agree. it's a lil' bit of everybody's fault, with whats happening and all. thing is, money talks. and as long as people keep paying and supporting this, it's gonna keep happening.

There is something fundamentally wrong when there is no proof to any wrong doing in past fights and fans, and journalists want Tony to admitt to wrong doing before they can forgive/be ok with him fighting again. Thats seriously ass backwards! If someone is suspected of a crime does the DA say to the suspect "well if you just admit to the crime we will leave you alone"? No! And if that was the case any reasonable person would tell that DA to go *** themselves.

I'm just saying most of these people Dan Rafael included are more intrested in their ego and their point of view being the correct point of view. The truth is they have no intrest in justice or the truth.
        Pistol:

Sorry but this isn't court room where proof beyond a reasonable doubt is required. I get your point but it just doesn't make sense. Because tony got caught cheating and then used as his defense I didn't know. He did this to himself, we didn't do it to him.

not discouraging people from watching boxing, just discouraging them from paying for the bull**** these promoters throw together just to line their own pockets.

pacquiao fan, or not, you can't tell me bradley, williams, or berto, aren't more intriguing than a margarito matchup....

that's my point. arum will continue to make bull**** fights, with 2 of his own fighters, because he'll take the lion's share of the money. once ppl get hip, and stop paying for meaningless fights like this one, and the money goes the other way, maybe arum will wise up, and make fights ppl want to see, regardless of whether it's 2 of his fighters or not.

          i won't pay for pacquiao-margarito, but i'd have no problem paying for pacquiao-berto, pacquiao-bradley, or pacquiao-williams.

support what's right. if you think that as a boxing fan, you have to support EVERYTHING boxing does, then you're part of the problem.

Don't forget about casual fans that is starting to get into boxing. You all know that there's alot of new casual Manny Pacquiao fans out there, and I'm sure these people don't care or even know one bit about Margarito and his credentials/history.

Yeah the fight is going to do okay regardless. I don't think there is any chance of it being a complete flop but we'll see. I'm not paying for it though. I may just wait for the HBO replay depending on if something is happening that night. I won't regret not watching it even it turns out to be some incredible action fight which I really doubt it will be considering the politics.

I truly believe that Arum wants a Pac-Mayweather fight and if i'm right there's no way he would set a fight that Pac could potentially lose at this point.

probably. I don't think MArgarito is the same anymore. Pacquiao wins within 3 rounds
