I don't know why everybody's not going to give Samuel Peter a decent shot in this one. He knocked Wlad down 3 times and Wlad's chin sure as hell hasn't gotten any better. Not to mention Peter has lost ALOT of weight. I sense a focused and hungry Peter coming into this fight hungry for an upset. I like his chances just like in the first fight.

Im not saying he'll win by any means by really guys? Come on. At least where almost guaranteed an exciting fight like the last one. This could of just been another 1,2 tactical fight again with Wlad which isn't the most exciting but gets the job done. But at least we get an exciting fight now and I think that's more then we could have asked for.

That didn't sound like a 'slave contact' at all. Naturally the champion dictates some demands but none the ones Brook mentioned seemed that unreasonable. The reason why the fight isn't gonna happen is, Atlas and Povetkin don't feel that he was ready to fight someone of Wlad's magnitude. Sauerland's just trying to do some damage control with his outlandish accusations...

        Exactly.

And I don't think Atlas has done any good for Sasha's confidence, he's probably doubting himself more these days.

          1) Klitschko was making Povetkin fight in Grant Gloves

          2) Klitschko was only giving Zauereland 5 free tickets to the fight

          3) Klitschko was not willing to pay for food and hotel of anyone outside of Povetkin's team

well, thats it, no rematches, no clauses, no nothing.l

lol every single one of those "grievances" are pathetic. The one in bold made me laugh in particular though.

Povetkin is an absolute clown and *****.

Great info BrooklynBomber - thanks for digging this up. Just shows what a bunch of clowns Saureland, Povetkin, and anyone who believes them about their "slave contract" claim are.

I meany seriously, you are getting $2.5 million, by far the biggest payday of your career and probably the best you will ever do, and you can't buy yourself some ****ING tickets?

Why should Wlad pay for hotel and food for anyone but Povetkin's team? He is already paying your ***** @ss 2.5million.

Wlad won the purse bid, his company K2 is fronting the money for the entire event, which means he bears the risk of loss if anything goes wrong or if people don't buy the fight. All Povetkin's ***** ass has to do is show up to a couple of conferences to promote the fight (reasonable promotion of the fight is mandated by the IBF under their rules) and then show up to the actual fight and get paid $2.5 million. It's Klitschko that has to set up the venue, the TV contracts, sell the tickets, market the whole event, etc. etc.

Man, Povetkin is giving Russians a bad name, I though he was the truth when he first came on the scene with that bad @ss video "Russki Vityaz", now he is just a "loh" - basically a punk in Russian.

                Wow.

It sounds bad enough to be some kind of joke.

Povetkin should be shunned by the boxing community. He's nobody. He better accept Klitschko's terms and he better like it.

                Shame on him.

He is a disgrace to Russians everywhere.

I like the fight because it gives him a chance at redemption, which I always like to see. But this version of Sam Peter is not the same one that fought him the first time.

He will be k.o'd with the quickness this time around.

All right, just to clear up something about Wlad making Povetkin use Grant gloves.

BY IBF rules both the Challenger and the Champion have to wear the gloves of the same brand. They do NOT have to be the same gloves, as gloves are usually catered specifically for the fighter's hand, hence Wlad making povetkin use Grant, however Povetkin is free to get customized gloves if the customization is in rules range.
