    Lopez vs Marquez

I think Rafael Marquez may feel the weight difference with the Lopez power, he can't trade much and needs to use boxing skill.

I see Lopez winning by late round stoppage.

possibly...im a Juanma fan (one of the few that's left on this site) but i think the Rafa fight is very dangerous

he had over a year to rest his body going into the 4th fight with Izzy and didnt take much damage in that bout...Rafa is one of the sports most accurate punchers and that laser right might do more damage than people are expecting

this 'should' be a passing the torch fight to the next generation but im not counting out Rafa at all...that's a polished vet with alot of ring savvy and has the ability to pull off the 'mild' upset

I also think there is danger about Lopez thinking past Marquez with a match with either Caballero or Chris John.

I wouldn't be shocked if Marquez won, but i am still leaning to the younger fighter, should be great fight.

that would be a crucial mistake if JuanMa is taking this fight lightly...this is his first true marquee name on the resume and should be treated as the biggest fight of his career

on paper, Juanma 'should' get by the wily vet but as you know, fellow fight fan, the truth comes out inside those ropes...

another PR-Mexico battle...two badasses who look to exchange...can't wait!

Hard to say if Rafa has that much left as Izzy didn't have anything left with which to test him.

I expect the bigger, younger, hard punching JuanMa to take him not much past the mid rounds.

Rafa's biggest weakness was keeping his right hand low and getting countered with the left.

This is how Izzy caught him in the second fight.

But since then, he's raised that glove up to his chin and protects himself much better.

I expect him to handle Lopez, though being older and battle tested might make it harder than it normally would've been.

Had he been prime that is.

As long as he doesn't try to get too brave and trade over and over(which is a possibility with him) and just boxes like he can, he can win this fight.

Cuz' Lopez does have good power.

agreed...Rafa has to stay poised and limit the number of exchanges...he's gotta pick his spots

i know I'm gonna sound like a super fan or whatever but I really see Juanma getting him out of there in like 6-7 rounds.

I love Marquez but i feel like this past fight with Vazquez is sort of a deceiving occurence because Izzy was just so much more worn at that point.

I do give Rafa a chance but I think Juanma will definitely be motivated and really handle business in there.

I'm looking forward to this because this could turn into a war if both guys can hang around long enough.
