Its already tarnished. Nobody who knows history creams over it like the new fans do. People forget about the lack of weight classes back in the day for one thing, and giving Pac a ****ing "Diamond Belt" just to force history is comical. He is great based on his wins, not the number of bull**** catchweight belts he gets handed from Arum.

Pac isn't scared to fight at 147 or 154, it's just Roach being cautious as he steps up. And no, it won't affect his legacy because he's shown he can fight at those weights (well 147 anyway, although I'm sure he'll hack it at 154) with equal success.

okay, so what's the problem with him fighting for titles at those weights---it does tarnish his legacy as far as winning titles-----it looks like skam to me----he'll fight at the regular weights above 140 for no titles, but when it comes to titles, catchweights, here i come, says manny poochieow-----it doesn't matter that he's proven he can fight at those weights when he doesn't yet wins a title at the weight as if he did fight there----that's nonsense----

i agree---we have to understand that the reason he's so great to these people on here is because of the number of weight divisions he's captured titles at-----and it's not 7------no matter what they think----

a lot of exaggeration in this thread. pacman has had only one catchweight fight. its quite an achievement that he's even fighting at welterweight. the real catch weight king would have to be bernard hopkins who has had at least 3 catchweight fights. even somebody like ray leonard could claim that title. he fought in more catchweight fights than manny.

This is a weak thread. Making up this kind stuff just because Mayweather is running from Pacquiao! Why not make simular threads about all the other fighters Mayweather avoided too?
