Disappointed in that. Montiel did go to a champ's backyard and knock him out though, so you can't totally pass judgement on the dude's courage. Donaire hasn't done **** here lately, and therefore it makes it hard for boxers to view him as worthwhile financially. If he would've been more active and fought better comp, he would be more in demand for a big fight. But I can't really excuse Montiel passing up on fighting a guy to get him in the P4P list over a fighter who was already conquered by Donaire.

I really don't think so. 118 is loaded with guys who are willing to fight anyone anywhere. Not only that they have good names and are great fighters. Guys like:

Yhonny Perez
Aselmo Moreno
Joseph Agbecko
Abner Mares


The only fights I see him having trouble landing are Arce and Morel for obvious reasons, and guys like Hasegawa and Montiel as well do to them being more selective in their opponents. The four I mentioned above will fight anyone anywhere and I actually think Mares vs Donaire will be more competitive than the Montiel (I see Nonito dominating Fernado).

I remember just before he lost to Perez, Agbeko said if he won, he'd love to fight Hasegawa, but that Hasegawa was a coward because he won't leave Japan.........but Agebko said wouldn't go there to fight him.

It's probably because he got robbed against Sidorenko.

Regardless, I think Cermeno would be a tough opponent, he is for anyone at 118. More so than Agbeko, IMO.

my post was not really directed towards you i just wanted to make the point that donaire has not been able to get fights and idk if it's his fault it could be the fighters that don't want to fight him or maybe his promotor is ***in **** up but i don't think donaire is scared to fight anyone in that division

This is the second time he will be ducking Nonito. The first time around 3 years ago...they were suppose to fight when suddenly Montiel decided to postponed it.
