I need to get into the lighter divisions.

Usually i watch whatever boxing is on, but fights under 135lbs rarely appear on my radar.

I hear about the fighters sometimes on the radio shows, but it's embarrasing how little i know about the super featherweight division and below.

what do you guys think about the lower weights?

do you feel they get enough exposure?

Not our fault, we dont get much exposure to world class lower weight class fighters here in the UK.

I learnt about Marquez's, Donaire, Darchinyan, Vazquez etc.. just from boxing websites.

Check out my boy Ivan Calderon when you get a chance. The guy has awesome power and comes forward with punches in bunches. He's like Roberto Duran but smaller.

Fuck the featherweight and super featherweight division

Bantamweight is where is at. The best division in boxing. Anselmo Moreno who has reminds me of a Pernell Whitaker is the most underrated fighter in all of boxing. You have young guns like Mares and Kameda, elite contenders like Hasegawa and Agbeko, title holders like Montiel and Perez, tough contenders like Cermeno, veterans you have Darchinyan and Donaire making a move. From top to bottom is just an elite weight-class stack with talent.

And, then you go to strawweight you can see my boy Roman Gonzalez. Now he has been slacking a little bit with his competition and activity but he is up there as P4P punchers go. Dude for his size has some serious pop.

Smack on the wrist for you Hickey, the lowest i used to go was Featherweight, Super Bantamweight, but you only used to go to LW, WTF ?

Since then i keep my eye on most weights, guys like Hugo Cazares, Calderon, Koki Komeda, Arce, Mayol, Darchinyan, Yonnhy Perez, Anselmo Moreno, Steve Molitor etc etc, please tell me you saw Yonnhy Perez vs Agbeko, Mares ? if not watch them.

the lower weight classes are very underrated and in the lower weight classes alot of the big fights are getting made including ivan calderon vs giovanni segura, fernando montiel vs nonito donaire, juan manuel lopez vs rafael marquez, and yuriorkis gamboa vs elio rojas. bantam, light flyweight and featherweight are loaded in the top 10
