Who was it on this site that exposed that show? They lied about one of the fighters' records....and someone did some research.

that was juan de la rosa, who never lost on the show but left because of injury....

they said his record on the show was 12-0-0(11 KO)

in reality he is 3-0 or something

juan was a quitter, nuff said.

and sergio was an arrogant, feather-fisted, liar.

          on the good side:

jonathon had a good chin and a lot of heart.

manfredo had great skill, speed, a good chin, and a lot of heart.

alfonso gomez was a carbon copy of julio cesar chavez, but not didnt really pack chavez's power.

brinkly sounded like a girl, but he had good power, a solid chin, and plenty of heart and stamina.

the season was good but some of the fighters ******. i hope the 2nd season will be better.
ahmed was the ****, ****iest guy ever with decent skills
          ishe was the best
bosante was a ****ing loser father (worked @ K-Mart) and was a **** boxer
juan was a ***** and should of got beat down if Tarick wasnt inactive for a couple years. He was touted to be a good boxer, but in the ring he was nothing.
mora punched like a feather, he's a speedy bugger, but he has no endurance and i dont think he could hurt anybody judging by his knockout percentage. (4 KO's in 12 fights or soemthing).
          johnathon got beat down...
manfredo had some skills and a good punch but i dont think he had that much endurance.
          gomez is a gatti-type puncher
brinkley was an average fighter, a journeyman at best
joey gilbert...what can i say about this guy...he had alot of heart but made excuses, and was a dodger. he was a very classy guy though.

I wasnt implying by their skills they wouldnt go anywhere but rather that they are locked into a promotional contract with NBC and as you have probably noticed are stuck fighting in fights against other Contender fighters.

Also Bonsante reached his peak way before the show and had one decent outing in 2003 I believe.

Some of the fighters brought credibility and Bonsante was one of them. But the guy just flat out sucks now.

If the show would just sign heavyweights it might go somewhere.

                  leave the hw division alone.
a weight lower than middleweight rather than above would be
my personal preference. i cant say im all that keen on the
bigger slower guys. suppose super middle or light heavy could
be possible. loads of boxers have watched the contender i bet
and hopefully the new show will have a better level of competition

The show has promise I can admit to that, but I would like to see a heavier weight class than middleweight. But loads of people would show up and watch if the show used heavyweights. IMO

                      yeah but thier ****.

maybe it would help the division but i doubt it.
middleweight was good cause hopkins is close to the end of his
career. theres a few blown up welterweights like trinidad, wright,
delahoya & sturm,a few old pros like eastman and some promising
up and comers like taylor but no certs to conquer that division.

hw is far more complicated as theres aload of half decent fighters
all with the chance to win a title yet controversy and bad
matchups keeps it a constant sttae of turmoil. 16 more
fighters could really mess it up even more.maybe im wrong but
