I can never understand why mine's always blue.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoWhat's the point of blue karma? It just suggests that you don't stir up trouble, and if you don't stir up trouble, typically that means you don't have an opinion, which means you have no brain and can't think for yourself.
Red karma suggests that you say what you think, not what everybody wants you to say.
Anyway, respect for manning up and admitting you may have called it wrong, Diego. As for Hatton's opponents, he also has Vince Phillips on his C.V., which is pretty decent, and Ray Olivera.Comment

I have watched him fight more then once. And even if I didnt, judging on what I did see when he fought Zoo, he is a dirty fighter. Just because I don't agree with your UK little ****** Hatton, doesn't mean you have to be an ass about it.Originally posted by Rovershatton isnt a dirty fighter ,you see him fight once and label him dirty .you are a dumbass piece of **** watch some more of his fights befoe you jump to conclusions about fighters stylesComment

Hatton didn't turn these fights down... It was the other way around.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoI didn't like Hatton because he turned down fights with Mitchell and Harris, but look at those guys now. Seeing them get blown out the past year just makes me realize how easy a time Hatton would have had with either of them. Hatton by KO in either case..
Mitchell was on route to a Tszyu re-match and didn't want Hatton throwing a spanner in the works.
And Emmanuel Steward pulled Harris out of the fight. He openly said that "Hatton is a fight I don't think Vivian can win".Comment

Admittedly, the star on Hatton's resume is Zoo. Sure he beat an older but game Oliviera and also and old but game Phillips, but it's Zoo and Zoo only that's got people's attention around the world. Both Phillips and Oliviera were expected to give Hatton more trouble than they did, but they are yesterday's guys.Originally posted by AnorakI can never understand why mine's always blue.

Hatton now needs to seek defining fights and should travel to do it if necessary, as he said he would. My expectations are that Hatton comes to the US and discovers that he can't fight the style that has got him a bunch of wins in the UK and create a broader fan base, unless he gets some definitive KO's (then its all different).Comment

BWAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!I spoke out strongly against Ricky Hatton long before he ever fought Kostya Tszyu, demanding that he take on a real competitor instead of all the 140lb leftovers. He finally got his shot, and he absolutely thrashed Tszyu en route to making him quit on his stool. It was a brilliant performance by a great new face on the boxing scene.

I hated Hatton for not traveling outside of his hometown, but if people are dumb enough to travel there and fight him, how can I be mad at Hatton? I should have been mad at all of Hatton's opponents for not making him come over to the States.
I criticized Hatton but let Jermaine Taylor slide, and I don't know why. Taylor did the same thing Hatton did, having fought NOBODY except one Hopkins leftover up until this point. Taylor vs. Hopkins is no different than Hatton vs. Tszyu. We simply cannot predict what will happen because we don't know enough about Taylor. We didn't know enough about Hatton either, but I was telling everyone he would be knocked out by the 4th round. I had seen nothing to make an assertion like that just like I haven't seen anything to make me claim Taylor will knock Hopkins out or that Hopkins will win on points.
Now Hatton has reached the top, and he did it all his way. I am a huge fan of him for this, and I hope he fights Mayweather. It will be a great fight between two of the top 10 fighters, pound for pound, in the world today. I doubt either will be exposed, and that the fight will live up to all the hype that comes with it. Much respect to this man for doing things his way and realizing his dreams.
