Supposedly Peter has been in shape and looked good since his ass kicking by Vitali? This is what I've heard at least, which is encouraging because he was a fat tub of goo against big brother.

One thing is for certain, we will see if Wlad has truly improved since the first fight or if his competition has just been awful, or to which degree each of those factors should be weighed.

The issue is not that Sam Peter looked good or bad, look at his opposition. He's been fighting nobodies since he lost to Vitali. He's playing the Shannon Briggs boxing game, fighting tomato cans until he can position himself to get a title shot.

I meant that he looked good both in terms of his boxing but also that he looked to be in shape and not fat. His weights confirm this. After his losses to Vitali where he weighed 253 and Chambers when he weighed 265 pounds, he dropped to 243, then 239, then 240 1/2, and finally 237 1/2 in his last fight against Nagy Aguilera.

To put that into perspective, Sam had not weighed under 240 since 2001.

I believe it is highly likely that Peter quits since he did it when he fought Vitali. If he feels like he can't get to Wlad and doesn't manage to land his big loopping shots like he was able to do the first time, he will surrender.

            This fight sucks.

I think Wlad won't wait until the 12th to unleash the left hook and gets Peter out of there around round 7 or 8, before he gets a chance to quit. I don't think Peter would've quit against Vitali if not for the open scoring and seeing that he was down 8 rounds to zip, with almost zero chance of winning and tired of getting punished while hitting air.

Hopefully Wlad can avoid the rabbit punch "knockdowns" in the rematch.

It's too bad, I know quite a few people that would love to see a stone cold knockout, including Wlad. I'm sure Wlad wants to finish what he started in round 12 of the fight.

History clearly shows you don't want to fight Wlad a second time. Look what happened to Brewster and Byrd when they fought him a second time. He's always been better and better as time goes by.

I know, that's why this fight sucks. It is unlikely Peter will do better this time. Wlad will probably be the one doing better. In other words, it is a meaningless rematch. IBF rankings suck.
