If Peter try's to box, game over for him. If he goes in and becomes the slugger that he really is underneath, he has a chance!

Exactly. Just like it wasn't Lennox Lewis fault that Rid**** Bowe was afraid to fight him.

Povetkin had NO chance, but Sam Peter always has at least a puncher's chance.
        Tunney, come on.

I know you have a way with words, but please don't try and make Wlad-Peter seem like a competitive match-up.

Peter is a monster puncher, and he managed to outbox James Toney. He's the best opponent out there right now, Your making it seem like Wladimir is cherry picking him. Peter is the best guy outside of Povetkin and Haye both who simply dont want to fight Wladimir.

WTF? I thought Wlad-Povetkin was pretty much a done deal?

No he is not. When the hell did Peter become a World beater all of a sudden? What has he done since out boxing a fat washed up fighter?

If Haye and Povetkin don't wanted there are better fighters out there. Adamek and Boytsov are out there. I am pretty sure they haven't reached out to fight Wlad. But, I also don't think Wlad has reached out to them. Also somebody who I know would want to fight Solis is out there. They all are better than Peter. And, Solis has pop as well.

Wlad-Povetkin that should be taking place. Is a fight I would like to see. But, if it doesn't happen then in no way shape and form is it Wlad fault. However, don't try to justify a Wlad-Peter rematch that is years way too late. Especially when there are other more deserving fighters like Solis for one. Who hasn't done much but as of right now ranks over Peter and is just overall better than Peter.

The only thing that makes this fight remotely interesting is the fact Peter has a puncher's chance. Vlad is gonna dominate him again. If Peter presses the action and uses more skills than he usually does, I could see him giving Vlad some scary moments like last time.

Yes. Although people who hate the Klitschkos will ***** about it, Peter isn't the worst opponent. He's currently the BoxRec #8 heavyweight and he looked very good in his last fight against Aguilera.

The first Peter-Wlad fight received the highest rating of any HBO fight in 2006.

I do think Adamek would be a better opponent, but Sam Peter is the next highest to Povetkin in the IBF rankings, so Wlad may no choice but to choose him.

If Peter is the replacement, who will win?
I'm sorry man but could I get some proof?
Does this mean the fight is'nt happening?

Trust me, Povetkin was stripped of his mandatory status yesterday and will not be fighting Wlad.

The IBF has told Wlad to fight the #2 ranked contender Sam Peter.

It's been reported only on the boxing talk website so far, but it will be on the other websites soon.
