That was one fight and I am pretty sure tickets were very cheap. HBO can't get the ratings they would need for this fight to offer either guy 500,000 dollars and above. I don't know what Tim makes a fight but just for an example say he made 100,000 for Abregu, what do you think HBO really could afford to give each guy since both are on the same level so both need a 50/50 split. The ratings just wouldn't be much higher than if Tim or Devon fought your run of the mill guy and I would argue since both would be taking 50/50 that they would possibly make less fighting each other than they would by fighting some bum. It just doesn't add up right now, as much as we would like it to.

Can't fault a man for wanting more mula. I don't know what he has made so far in his career but it probably hasn't been much and that is why he is focused on making money. You can just tell how he talks about Alexander that he has made chump change and fighting him demands a higher dollar and it just isn't there. Probably make around the same amount as he did for Abregu as he would fighting Devon.

clottey was the next biggest name in the WW division then. floyd/shane busy. berto in haiti. marg was banned. and easiest to make in 2months time.

And Bradley did call out the rest of the 40 pounders. Obviously he's gonna throw out the Pac idea and hope it sticks, kinda how Marquez did with Mayweather. But he also spent time calling out all the rest of the 140 pounders because he knows that's the practical thing to do. And he did so I don't know what people are complaining about.

Are you will to travel to go see the fight or buy the fight on PPV? If no, don't complain because the demand for the fight is not very high, except for the hardcore boxing fan. I can understand where Tim is coming from. Tim pretty much has a small fan base and some HBO exposure where he can fights bums for about the same amount of money as he would make for fighting Devon. These two guys needs to fight some of the older legends to build a name.

Don't know what your on, but Alexander sells more tickets than Bradley and has already been on HBO against a better oppoennnt. Also Alexander packs venues in St Luis.

Well, I can't really fault anyone for complaining because it is a fight we all want to see. You can't really get a more intriguing fight than two young fighters that have already shown flashes of brilliance and have also shown that they are legit against B+ talent. Tim and Devon really are the two brightest faces of American Boxing but it just isn't meant to be right now.

Lets just hope they don't follow the path of Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins where they fight when they are completely past it and the demand has completely died. They should fight in late 2011 or 2012 imo.
