Can Boxing and MMA merge into one??

Is the future of both sports going to meet in the middle and become one??? what if the UFC opened a wing for boxers?? they could sign boxers just like they do MMA fighters...and have a set up like they do for the MMA peeps....with the popularity of the UFC...it could do away with the ******ity that is now all the sanctioning bodies...and the multitude of belts...and fighters not wanting to face each other......think about it....that would be legit!!!

Ugh why would boxers get their own special wing and Mu Thai fighers, Ju Jitsu fighters, Kickboxers, and Wrestlers all get lumped together?

I would want boxers to be held to the same expectations as anyother fighter in the UFC.

So that boxing as a sport stays intact.......but with ONE organization behind it....not this goddamn circus we got now....

If it means only 1 championship belt or 1 champ then I'm all for it.

The only thing boxing needs is one governing body like the NBA, NFL, or MLB. Throw out the alphabet belts and promoters.

I'm no mma dude, but if boxing operated as a single entity like UFC, that would be great for the fans, especially if more fights were on regular cable or free tv.

This does not have anything to do with UFC, boxing just needs one governing body that will have rankings for each division and one champion per division and have the best fight the best.
