ok, simple question, with boxing being as **** as it has recently, would it be better if showtime was the main player in broadcasting boxing, rather then hbo, would we get the fights we as fans wanted 2 c??? one disadvantage i think would be that if they super 6 styled every division, then it would be kinda ****, cuz i reckon we would have nothing 2 argue about. the *******s wouldnt b able 2 post funny chicken videos of floyd and the *****s wouldnt be able 2 do vice versa. what are ur thoughts on this???

Showtime showed the last truly great fight, Castillo vs Corrales 1. While HBO may consistently host better fighters, I think Showtime is always worth watching. It saddens me that they bought into mma

Just look at Top Rank. When they don't get their way, they just broadcast the PPV themselves. And if the broadcasters tried to strong-arm promoters, others would follow suit.

Just look at Mosley vs Mora. HBO passed so Golden Boy is broadcasting the PPV themselves.

No ****, but that's not the point. Promoters are going to do what they want to do. The broadcasters basically just have the option to air the fight or not. That's about it.
