  • Is a stoppage win over Hopkins a great win still?

Even though he is an older fella and hasn't looked great recently, B-hop has never really been beaten up and made to look bad by any opponents in his career though he sometimes has not done enough and made himself look bad.

In his 5 losses they were all close tough fights where he just didn't do enough at certain parts to win it.

So all things considered, would it still be a great not just good win for a SMW, LHW, even CW to get a stoppage win over old man Popskins?

No, not a great win, but some kind of recognition would be there for the first person to stop Hopkins.

Still, after proving himself against prime fighters that were supposedly going to stop him, people don't seem to think too highly of Hopkins and expect him to be stopped by which ever young prime fighter out there. So although it has never happened yet, when it does happen it will just be a matter of him just literally being too old(Like he has been since he turned 35 in the Trinidad fight). Hopkins critics have always just said "he's too old and that's why he's getting knocked out" or "Pavlik beat Taylor twice. Taylor beat Hopkins twice. Pavlik is going to beat Hopkins because of this". But Hopkins keeps proving them wrong. I honestly would have never been surprised if Hopkins ever got stopped and it won't surprise me now.

It's not going to happen. Hopkins will continue to play it safe as he's done refusing to fight a fighter his size like in the past years. Blown up smaller men have a small chance of knocking out Nards huge noggin.
