because he will, too much money on the table for him to not to accept. Just because things didn't get done by arum's "deadline", doesn't mean the fight won't get done. Arum is a f***en moron for putting a deadline on floyd anyway, knowing full well the size of his ego. And they were in no position to be calling the shots after making the worst business decision in the HISTORY OF BOXING, choosing to fight clottey than Floyd the first time around. Pac has morons representing him.

Leonard Ellerbe -
“Ain’t nobody thinking about Manny Pacquiao, Bob Arum or Freddie Roach,” Ellerbe said. “Floyd isn’t thinking about none of them, and there ain’t no negotiations starting, period. Floyd is just coming off a great win. He’s not thinking about any of them.”
“Who are they negotiating with, themselves?”
“Manny Pacquiao is probably wondering how did Floyd Mayweather make $40 million, and I’m making whatever it was he made for his fight,” Ellerbe said. “Floyd Mayweather has definitely made more money in his last two fights than that guy has made in his whole career.”

"Here are the facts Al Haymon, Richard Schaefer and myself speak to each other on a regular basis and the truth is no negotiations have ever taken place nor was there ever a deal agreed upon by Team Mayweather or Floyd Mayweather to fight Manny Pacquiao on November 13.
"Either (president of HBO Sports) Ross Greenburg or Bob Arum is not telling the truth, but history tells us who is lying."
I remember reading it, but dismissing it most likely out of hope, because Arum was still talking about the fight.
Mayweather has never entered into negotiations with Pacquiao.
Just after Ellerbe made that comment, Arum stated that he was negotiating a Pac/May fight with GBP who were representing Mayweather.
WTF?

This idiot Ellerbe forgot that Oscar de la joya said a month ago that the negotiations were close to being done.. hahaha! He is saying that he didn't know that there were such negotiations going on and Mayweather didn't know either, but Oscar and the whole freaking world knew that Manny wants to fight. Someone is lying indeed and that liar is himself!
This guy has no integrity at all, and ****** too to forget that their promoter, Oscar de la joya himself said that it was almost a done deal since Manny, for the sake of all boxing fans, has put his ego aside and agreed to all mayweather's demands before. Ellerbe jumped the gun too early and started opening his mouth when Pacman still doesn't have a signed contract to fight with anyone. Well now that they know about the negotiation that Manny wants to fight Gayweather, will they now sign the contract? All they're yapping about is that they didn't know about it that's why they couldn't respond to it when all the newspapers and the whole internet are covering it except the gayweather who said he wasn't thinking about boxing and his manager who doesn't know anything that's going on in boxing right now. They certainly aren't calling Manny Pacman to fight gayweather or say anything about the proposal now that they know about it. Now that they have opened their mouth, everybody wants to know next what they will say about the proposal to fight Manny Pacquiao.

Since when did Mayweather have to fit in with Top Rank's plans?
Team Mayweather stated 6 weeks ago that they had no intention of entering into negotiations..... Mayweather will collect that cheque when he is ready.
Manny can go have more sparring sessions with Top Rank look-good opponents, while Floyd finishes his holiday
I like Manny, but Top Rank fkn suck. This dodgy **** stinks of Bob Arum spin.Last edited by LeadUppercut; 07-20-2010, 02:48 AM.
