Now, I am in no way shape or form defending Floyd (and I'm sure Mayweather fans will look into this too lol), but I did find this interesting and I'd like to see what everyone thought. Just advocating the devil a little bit lol.
Reed made a thread or posted some info about the tax bracket in the US and how it applies to Floyd (don't crucify, I'm no Tax expert).
But being as the peak tax bracket is 35% ($373K and above being the highest tax bracket), you have to wonder how much taxes Floyd is really (or supposed to be) paying. Seeing as Floyd made roughly $35-40 Mill against Mosley (give or take) and he'd be making even more this November against Pacquiao (let's just say roughly $50-60 mill), he indeed could be paying huge taxes come the beginning of 2011.
He would've made (not including other taxable income) over $100 Million for 2010 which if you just base it off those 2 fights and not include other income or tax right offs, he's looking in the range of paying $30-35 Mill in taxes. He eludes to this as well during the HBO 24/7 for the Mosley fight ("Taxes suck...they got me for $20 Million). Again, I am no tax expert whatsoever, but if Floyd is legitimately having financial issues, I can see why he wouldn't be so quick to jump into a Pac fight this year.
If anyone can add to this or debunk it, feel free.
