Gomez can't hit all that hard. He spent most his career as a cruiserweight. hasn't knocked out anybody good at heavyweight.

I think he'll [SS Sam] get knocked out for sure. Sykes had never been down either. Nor had Yanqi Diaz, who KO'd Gomez in 1 round. Peter put Diaz out in 5. Peter also stopped Dale Crowe in 4 and it was only Peter's 12th match.

gomez does have power, he knocked out AL cole who took rahman the distance, he knocked out defiagbon quicker than the hard hitting oleg maskaev, so gomez does hit hard. samil sam has a very GOOD chin, better than diaz who was just living off his freak win over gomez, peter couldn't stop charles shufford, so he's not as good as some people are making him out to be.

i think any good slick boxer can give him trouble, and that includes guys like byrd, krasniqi, toney, gomez etc. the only problem with byrd is the fact he has been fading a bit in the past couple of years.
