I end up with a bunch of drunk *******s ruining me watching boxing. My girl watches boxing with me regularly and she knows more than any of my friends.

Fuck Josh Clottey's 'tude in the ring.

exactly. if pac, the most exciting fighter in the world, 1# p4p & the most famous, could make a stinker, how much more a lesser fighter. i think its just so hard to please mainstream fans nowadays with the way society is. They need instant gratification. Everything has to be hagler vs hearns or else its a failure.

what's funny is a lot of my casual friends who dont follow boxing always ask, is this a championship fight?

If they dont know the fighters, they always ask, is this a title fight? whose the champion? they always do. being a champion & having a belt is still important. that's why there's so many of them.

          i found it interesting.

its as if having the belt or being a championship fight acts as a guide or bait for the casual fan.
