I think he has what it takes to get a championship in the future. As far as surpassing his father's legacy? Well he's going to have to beat some pretty big names like his father did in his day. He is going to have to get involved in such wars as his father was back in his day. I mean can any one actually say that the first Chavez vs Taylor fight wasn't one of the best fights they have ever seen. Now I will be the first to admit JCC did stay around a little too long and ended up tarnishing his legacy. I will however disagree with those haters that say he fought only bums (or Tijuana taxi drivers) up until he won the championship, if you think differently ask Greg Haugen.

        Agreed.

There is potential in and around his weight division to have some pretty big wars however...it could happen

I reckon he's a great technical boxer, uses good, orthodox punches and apparently hits pretty ***** hard.
I reckon he could be better than his pop.

          Thoughts?

I reckon your a jackass too. It would be impossible for him to be like his father. Im sorry but just because his father was great doesnt mean that he will be to.

              No need for insults

And my thoughts on him as a boxer had NOTHING to do with his father except the fact he has potential to match his legacy.

Please point out where i said the fact his dad was good means he will be too.

I didn't say it ****ed up his legacy, I said it tarnished it. Not trying to argue with you but there is a difference in my opinion.

He's got potential for sure, but he's got no man-strength. He's still a kid. He's also got to work on his defense a little bit, and work on his speed a little bit more to even mention him as a prospect.

I think He'll end up being a one-trick pony like our friend Tito.
