Just a theory on Floyd waiting til next year

Is it possible that Floyd wants the Pac fight, but is just trying to cover his ass if he loses?

I think Floyd def. wants a Pac fight, because of the money and nothing else. But maybe(just a possibility) he figures if he waits til he is clearly no longer in his prime(mid 30's) he will have the excuse if he loses that "My heart isn't in this anymore and my body isn't either". By next May Floyd will be 34 yrs old, and will have a valid excuse if he loses, which is that he is not the same fighter he was 1,2,3 years back. If he fights now, right off of his Mosley win, he still will seem like a prime fighter. But another year goes by, and Floyd gets a little older, a little more brittle, and now he has this excuse to fall back on.

I think Floyd wants to win when he fights Manny, and I think he believes he will win. But he also knows that he will make just as much money fighting him as a 34 yr old. and will also have a stronger excuse, should he lose.

This is pure, 100% speculation and I'm just throwing ideas out there. I personally don't think this is even true but I am wondering if anyone else has thought this MIGHT be a possibility. Don't start calling me a Floyd hater, because while I don't like the guy I think he probably beats Manny in their fight, should it happen.

maybe, but in that case its more probable hes thinking why rush things when pacquiao will not go anywhere and is getting busy with his political carreer for 3 years and will always be around anyway, they can always fight after, better he gets busy too with his own thing till that time or till his money is already gone again. remember he said hell took a two year off, by that time pacquiao is winding up his term as congressman. they can always make a comeback for "the fight" two years from now.

When he comes back he will need a tuneup fight: Floyd-Marquez II

This theory would be plausible if Floyd wasn't TWO YEARS OLDER THAN PAC.

the difference between a 32 and a 34 year old Welterweight is much greater than a 32 and 34 yr old Heavyweight, or a 25 and 27 yr old.

What would be Pacquiao's excuse for losing to a 34 year old Mayweather?

floyd hasn't taken nearly the amount of punishment pac has taken over the years. If anything its pacquiao who is declining over the years. He clearly doesn't have the speed anymore.

                  But,

you're acting like Pac isn't about to take on another threat, at a higher weight against either Cotto or Margarito, two other fighters Floyd avoided.

Its highly possible that he wants Manny to go through another tough fighter.

Nothing anyone can say can make Floyd look good in this.

Hes owning all of his fans right now.

                    I have a better theory.

I believe the IRS tax rates are compounded once Floyd earns another 40m.

Therefore, he could be saving millions if he fights next year. Yet announcing such publicly would prove to be an illegal statement against state tax agencies.
