If Floyd doesnt fight Manny Pacquiao this year and fights Martinez, he will be showing the world he doesnt need Pacquiao. Floyd Vs Martinez will be a huge fight and there is a lot of Money in that. It might not be as much as him facing Manny, but whoever Manny faces wont out do Floyd vs WHoever.

Pacmans last opponent was Clottey and Floyds was Mosley. If Floyd fights Martinez and Pac faces Cotto again theres no way people can talk bad about Floyd because Mosley and Martinez more dangerous then Manny. I know Floyd vs Manny is the fight that most want to see, but we wont die if it doesnt happen.

If he finishes vacation in a month or two when Pacquiao isn't available and fights Martinez as a plan B then not many people would complain, but we all still want to see Manny vs Floyd.
