    Terrible strategical PR move by Floyd

    This is going to be a bad publicity disaster for floyd. I think he gave the worst possible answer he could give for his reason on passing the fight. I think he should have declined the fight based on his stance on testing or getting the lions share of the money but not because of lack of interest. Bad strategic move by floyd & his handlers. I think he just gave the upper hand back to pacman & top rank.

        his attorneys are advising him not to comment further on the drug testing issue because of Pac's pending defamation lawsuit

          PR= Public Relations

          I think Floyd is screwed in the head due to the Roger business. He's busted up and a very emotional guy.

          Be good to hear what Rog has to say on this.

            he has commented several times on the issue after pacquiao filed the lawsuit. floyd should have said that he denied the fight based wanting full random testing not because he does not have interest right now. floyd said it after the mosley fight, which was done well after the defamation lawsuit. That should have been floyd's answer. Not because of no interest.

              What he SHOULD have said was this : "I didn't negotiate anything with top rank, but what they laid out recently has looked better than anything they've laid out so far. At this time...as I've said before...I'm not focused on boxing. I just fought less than 3 months ago. Right now I'm focused on family. My uncle has a trial coming up and all I'm worried about is supporting him. With him being my trainer I can't bring myself to focus on boxing because the status of my trainer and loved one is up in the air. I would like my next fight to be against Manny Pacquiao, but as of today the timing is not good for me. I'd like to thank my fans for supporting me and when this situation passes I will do everything in my power to give my fans and the fans of boxing the fight they want to see."

              However with this statement Floyd would have to not be a weird, arrogant, and stubborn misfit of society. I really enjoy watching Floyd as a boxer, but his attitude and Public Relations skills bother me constantly.

              Arum set this response up for him on a silver platter and I think the public would have been more understanding hearing this instead of : "I really don't give a ****" - Floyd Mayweather Jr.

                i dont think that is good enough. his answer should have been: " i have been clear in stating that i want full random testing with no cutoff dates just as i have stated after the mosley fight."

                That is what should have been his answer. He should have said they accepted the offer after i declined it the first time. Or even say that i deserve more of the money based on ppv history. Those are at least some facts that cant easily be twisted by opinion & conjecture.

                  At this point If I were Floyd I'd accept the 50/50 and 14 day cutoff just to take my shot at beating his ass and shutting everybody up in one fowl swoop
