    No because Floyd was the draw and biggest name in boxing at the time. Hatton won at 147 and won a title. He made JMM jumped two weight classes without a tuneup fight at 147 and Hatton had a fight at 147 before he fought Floyd.

          alot of it had to do with hatton, from 2004-2006 was "not ready" at 140, mayweather wasnt gonna wait forever.
