Comments Thread For: Berto vs Bradley Clash Will Be Explored Says DiBella

A few days ago, promoter Lou DiBella told BoxingScene.com that he planned to watch Saturday's welterweight bout between Timothy Bradley and Carlos Abregu with a lot of interest. DiBella was interested in the fight because he planned to pursue the winner as a possible fall opponent for WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto.

WOW looks like the options are breaking open for Big Lou all of a sudden, Berto/Bradley for the WBC welterweight title. The WBO will strip Bradley is he doesn't defend or he wins

I was thinking about this matchup during Bradley's fight tonight.

      Berto's a bit stronger.
      Both have quick hands.
Bradley is more agile and athletic.
Berto's a short welterweight and Bradley wouldn't have to reach as much.
Bradley can lean that bald head in and smack Berto in the chin with it if Berto tries to do his usual hit and hold style.

I wouldn't mind seeing it. I'd like for Bradley to clean up 140, but if he wants to go back to 147, a fight against Berto would be tolerable.

Someone's 0 has got to go!

not a bad matchup but bradley needs to clear his business at 140 if he wants to do fireworks at 147, otherwise

Bradley should fight either Devon,Amir or Maidana first before fighting Berto. But I won't mind the Berto fight if cleaning up the 140 doesn't happen.Jr welter & welter are so deep right now, exciting.

It's an interesting fight, Bradley has to fight a better fight than he did against Abregu though.
