Comments Thread For: Timothy Bradley Makes His Welterweight Presence Felt

At the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California, WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11KOs) made his welterweight presence felt, and kept his unbeaten record untouched, with a unanimous twelve round decision over previously undefeated Carlos Abregu (29-1, 23KOs). The scores were 118-110, 116-112 and 117-111.

Fighting in front of his hometown fans, Bradley was hair less quicker with his punches. Bradley's punches are shot a little faster at his regular fighting weight of 140-pounds - but he showed more power with his noticeably bigger, chiseled body.

If diuretics were unbanned JCC Jr. would go down to WW and kick his ass.

      No he didn't.

And, I am a Bradley fan. But, he didn't make his presence felt.

Him destroying/stopping Abregu would of made his presence felt. But, he didn't do that...

He should go back down to 140 and clean house. Something that I am very confident he could do...

At 140 I still give him a shot to beat Pac. At 147 I give no shot whatsoever.

I even think Berto beats him now, too big, too strong, fast, explosive 2 o3 levels above Abregu.

Rradley is the better fighter than Berto P4P and P4P Bradley would win but not at 147. Bradley is just not a WW.

I wanted to see more of him than what I saw tonight. Little disappointed. Just build your legacy at 147. I would favor Bradley>Alexander, Khan, Maidana, Judah, Hatton, JMM,. Ortiz, Funeka all of them. The only guy I would favor over Bradley is Pac. But, still give Bradley a shot but again only at 140. At 147 Pac would dominate him. Bradley can't hang right now anyways at 147 with the elites. He just not ready for that.

Your not gonna look impressive when your opponent refuses to throw punches or doesn't have a strong will to win for that matter. That's as good as Bradley was gonna look, Berto ain't ****in' with Bradley. Berto may be explosive but he lacks the stamina and foot speed to beat Bradley. Bradley is obviously the much superior boxer, and there was no decline in Bradley at 147 as I expected.

Timothy Bradley is better than a lot of you guys think, I been watching this kid since he had less than 10 wins and have watched him become one of the worlds best fighters, this is the real deal here boys tried and true right here so Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather better not sleep because anything less than 110% and Timothy got that ass, he has upper lateral movement, uses his jab, has awesome foot work and stamina, he's a learner and he doesn't relent, this guy is quickly becoming top 3 one of my favorite fighters today

bradley's presence at 147 is minimal. he showed he is a solid guy, but he doesn't have that x-factor that would make everyone at 147 take notice.

duckstorm didn't invade the 147 lbs division like floyd or pac. he limped in w/ this performance imho.

No way can Bradley wins against Pacquiao at 147. He didn't even knock down Abregu who is so slow and very hittable. He should go down to 140 and fight Alexander. He might get a better shot.
