Obvious to me that Arum is differentiating between Golden Boy, (Oscar and Schafer) and Mayweather's camp (Roger and Al) and in fact they are 2 different en******.

I suppose, being a highly qualified lawyer, Arum has the facility of saying something which might sound the opposite of what he really means, and vice versa. Lawyers have tricky minds by nature, they can't help it.

Eeexactly. Arum has pushed and he's pushed, knowing exactly what Floyd is like, and he's managed to sabotage the fight through antagonising the notoriously egotistical Floyd Mayweather at every possible opportunity. If he'd approached negotiations with any degree of tact and showed any hint of willingness to compromise or meet in the middle, I'm sure things would have gone a lot smoother and Floyd wouldn't have been so alienated.

You could be right, none of us knows what's happened, or what' s happening. But let me ask you this; Arum has a brilliant fighter who has recently but definitely embarked on avastly different career, and who, because of that, could leave boxing at any time, whocouldn't have any more than a couple of fights left, regafdless of his supposed comment that he intends to keep fighting.

And he has the potentially biggest money making fight in the history of boxing, in which all concerned stand to make the largest amount of money ever. So why would Arum sabotage this fight which would make history, with all their names associated with it for posterity?

I think that this is hard to answer, exdept one way.

Goosen, Gary shaw, Di bella, Frank warren, Don king are all liars but Arum takes the biscuit, Arum is the only Promoter who uses the "Done deal" to make people believe that his fighters want fights that he might not want for them.

Now am not claiming Pac doesnt want the Mayweather fight or vice-versa but my point before everyone were talking arum's words for the GOSPEL last week was we know Arum likes to lie so lets not take his words and run with it but some decides Arum's words were good enough for them.

Mayweather might be the biggest trashtalker in boxing but thats after a fight is signed,sealed and delivered!!! Since he became the top name in boxing he has never called anyone out, or say anything about them unless he has a fight signed with them, I would love for him to come out and say something but if he want to leave Arum as the joke then so be it.

He didn't have to say he didn't like it. Everyone on the damn planet who follows boxing knew he didn't like it. Floyd clearly said no fight unless there is random drug testing up to the day of the fight. After Arum and Pac realized they ****ed up in fighting Clottey, Arum presented that bull**** 14-day cutoff proposal to him knowing it was no longer an option, told him he had two weeks to accept it, and told the media that he and GBP had agreed on terms. Then, everyone in the media and the haters on this site jumped on Arum's lies and started criticizing Floyd for not signing a one-sided contract.


My guess is that Floyd was hurt and insulted by Arum's comments and behavior during the first round of negotiations (if I were in his position, I would be also). Then he tries to accept terms that Floyd previously offered after belittling that offer, lying about the offer to the media and calling Mayweather every name in the book short of N....g.....r. To add insult to injury, he gives Mayweather ****ing deadline to accept his bogus offer!

No one on this message board who is hating on Floyd would want anything to do with Arum or any of his fighters if he treated you the same way he has treated Floyd. Yet, you ignorantly criciticze Floyd as if he should be grateful for the offer that Arum has made and for the opportunity to get in the ring with Pacquaio.


I am not defending Floyd because he has not made any excuses and there is nothing to defend. What I am saying is that, if I offer someone my help with a problem, and they choose to spit in my face and call me every name in the book because they don't like my offer, they damn well better not come back to me later and say, 'I'll accept the assistance you offered, but you have to do everything on my terms.'

A promoters word is all boxing fans have to go by. We never see the contracts or hear what they are saying and to who. Your just simply picking on Arum when your decribing EVERY promoter out there.
