At the Sport-Und Kongresshall in Schwerin, Germany, Denis Lebedev (21-0, 16 KOs) put himself in line for a title shot with a two round knockout of Alexander Alexeev (19-2, 17 KOs). Lebedev is now the mandatory challenger to WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck, who defends his title next month against Matt Godfrey. [Click Here To Read More]

I saw a picture in profile of Alexeev and Lebedev yesterday (LtoR) and it struck me that the Alexeev picture bore more than a passing resemblance to Vitaly Klitschko, as the Lebedev one to Sosnowski.

Was I "seeing things" or has anyone else seen the same resemblence? I just don't want to retire myself to a white walled added room..........just yet.

Alexeev was being hyped up pretty heavily a couple years ago, my how he has fallen.

Maybe the same thing will happen when the Eastern Bloc Heavyweights take off their training wheels and step up the competition.

Alexeev looked all good when he was unbeaten, but after the Ramirez bout it was clear that hes not hard enough for the sport, cant take a good shot and is not mentally strong enough. Huck will also have a hard time with Lebedev, that guy can punch.
