You're Manny Pacquiao's promoter, right?
You claim to be his friend, and to care about his legacy, yes?.
Pacquiao has possibly one fight left before he retires, in compliance
with his venerable mother's wishes, so why do you want to degrade
his legacy by matching him up with Antonio Margarito?
Really now, Pac's farewell fight will be versus a disgraced, unlicensed,
has-been piece of ****, who by all rights should be in jail??? There's
a goddamned REASON why NSAC won't reinstate that cocksucker's
license. He could have killed other boxers with that illegal **** in his
gloves: including Shane Mosley and near-certainly Miguel Cotto.
Ah... Cotto.
A valiant warrior, but give me a break... their last matchup left just no
doubt as to who would win in a rematch. At 147 or 154, it just makes
no difference, especially after seeing Cotto's performance against an
overmatched Yuri Foreman. There isn't really any great fan-clamor for
Pac-Cotto II, is there? So, why would you want to pimp this orphan
of a matchup for Pac's farewell fight??
Come on...
You've been keeping the revenue in-house long enough.
You've made enough money off of Pac and boxing fans.
If Pac's retiring soon, give boxing what it deserves: a real fight.
The Pac of 8 years ago took on all motherfuckers, three fights
a year if need be, odds against him or no, if the fans wanted it.
All-out, full throttle war in the ring, against true, hard-ass warriors.
He would have been done fighting the likes of Mosley, Floyd,
Williams, Martinez and others by now --win or lose.
He was this insane, fearless motherfucker.
That's why we loved him. That's why we tolerated the dubious
quality of some of his later matches: all these gay-ass stipulated
catchweights, purse-cut drama, and some blatant cherrypicking.
Pac doesn't NEED that sort of bull****. He doesn't need to be coddled.
He doesn't have some 0-loss paranoia, and he certainly isn't afraid of
anyone.
The original Pacman is still there, if you would just unleash him.
If boxing isn't just a business to you, and if you have any genuine
concern for Manny Pacquiao and his legacy, you will let Pac do what
he does best: challenge the toughest comp out there, defy all our
expectations, and redefine what we think is possible in the ring, or
else exit on his shield, a victor even in defeat.
If you can't do this, because you can't bear to give up a cent to any
other promoter (or, because boxing is merely all about MONEY to you),
then how about you stick your head up your fat ass and fuck yourself?
The fans might pay to see THAT on PPV, and you'd do it for the $$$$.
Thanks.
