  • As a floyd fan we try to have it both ways sometimes. We say well Pac has cherry picked a lot of opponents and then at the same time say he's juicing as if his opponents we're too good for pac to do that to them. It doesn't make sense I know. But what I do question is. If you watch the 2nd marquez fight in the 2nd round Marquez wobbled Pac before the end of the round. And yet Pac is taking punches from all these other big guys with no problem. That's the only thing I question. As far as Pac's punching power I'm not impressed a lot of those guys had nothing left and he couldn't even knock down a zombie in de la hoya. And Hatton was wide open. So that's why I wanna see him tested not because he's knocking guys out but because he's taking their punches.
How about Oscar Larios. Larios got knocked out by Israel Vazquez at 121 the fight before he moved up to fight FOR THE TITLE against Manny at 130. Why Manny would even take that fight is a joke and the fact he couldn't stop him is even more hilarious. HOW DO YOU STOP COTTO AND DLH at 147? Ask Victor Conte what he thinks. Lets be real here too, Floyd was chasing Shane Mosely since 99 its on video: he tried getting Oscar years ago as well also on video.

    • On A Side Note: I will blame Floyd for this current situation, but I will question the terms that were brought to the table...

I blamed Pac and his team the first go around, but I did question the OST, and the whole way, and why it was brought to the table in the first place....
You seem like a man of extensive knowledge, let me ask you one question would you want to go into the (biggest) fight of your life not knowing who your trainer is?

      • honestley i dont know how anyone can even defend fraud jr. he is the most fake and arrogant and just plain annoying fighter to watch.while manny does have handpicked fights of late fraud jr has pretty much an entire career of them ,except for a very few. they called his bluff now the truth is out fraud dont want none he is on the decline, mosley is old and very worn and showed fraud jr isnt what he used to be. manny will pac that ass everybody knoows this fans, gayweather scumbag family included.ittl only favor pac if they fight next year fraud is older and will be inactive although im not counting on it, as fraud jr has done once again what he does best : run away from fighters that can truly beat his ass. berto to me has more street cred than fraud jr.i dont understand why anyone would support fraud, hes a ****, not the peoples champ, not even patriotism makes me support the scum I hope manny or somebody ko's his ass.after he loses his house or cars maybe well get to see him fight someone real. as he spends like theres no tomorrow.

        • pac fights whoever arum puts in front of him. arum is putting marg in front of him and marg doesn't have a lisence in the U.S.

so that's why they are fighting overseas.

I don't like it, but it is what it is.

You got Bradley, Alexander, Berto, ect
All 3 would get ****ed up!!! Bradley needs 2 be fighting Alexander. Berto, he's a champ at Welter but I think he should fight that Mike Jones dude. Cotto and Margarito should be fighting each other. That would have gone down if the May-Pac fight would have gone thru. Arum tried 2 make a deal w. a fighter he doesn't promote and it fell apart. Now he's looking for the best deal for HIM & MANNY and that'll more then likely be Pacquiao fighting a fellow Top Rank fighter with a good enough name 2 selll and keep all the $$$$ in house.

Sorry, was away from my system..

To answer your question, I would have to say no...I wouldn't. I did also agree with the other poster (Tweezy) that made the same point.

If that is the case, let it be known, if not, I will just assume Floyd was/is being Floyd.

                  I really can't agree with that...Here's why.

JMM was countering Pac, not really retreating from him. Very true that he caught Pac on the chin, but one thing people tend to over look, true Pac has been KO'ed before to the body, I don't recall if it has ever happened with a head shot (if so my bad)...Meaning, he has a good chin. That would only get stronger as he moved up in weight.

                  Diaz never really hit him.

                  Hatton never really hit him.

Cotto was in retreat most of the fight (5th round and on). Now even though Cotto did crack Pac a few times, I doubt he had full power in those shots.

Clottey landed 4 punches total. They were chopping shots, but not strong. I say chopping, as to say, that is why they busted Manny up.

Besides the uppercut from Cotto, I really can't recall any of those dudes checking Manny's chin like JMM did.

And JMM is so accurate with a varied arsenal and he was near his peak when they fought.
