i think byrd should be second on a top 5/10 list simply for the fact he has a very good record, rahman has had bad losses. as does brewster, and toney has beaten a shot holyfield, some journeyman and a no cotest against ruiz.
...I think their all a cut below Vit and it's so hard to rank them. You could make a good arguement for any ranking order below Vit and it may make sense.
I think Byrd is tyhe worst HW, he clearly lost to Oquendo, in my mind lost to Golota and the MCline fight could have gone either way. How he retained his belts in his last three fights is an act of god.
VK vs. Byrd took place a long time ago...there ranking should be based upon recent history not the distant past.
Before beating Al Cole, Mario Cawley, Rob Calloway, Terrence Lewis and Kali Meehan, Rahman was 0-3-1 agaisnt actual top 10 competition.
That's pretty weak putting him above the other title holders.
...You have a point for sure. I'm just not sure how to rank behind Vit. Who knows for sure with Brewster. Rahman seems like he is ready to come to fight and be consistent these days and he sounds more convincing. Toney still hasn't beaten a good heavy IMO but he is so damn skilled. Byrd is definitely on the decline so I would put him last regardless.
Reccent history like Vitali's only fight in the last 14 months being a win over Danny Williams?
I really don't care what you think.
He asked what my opinion of the rankings are and I gave it.
At this point, I don't even see much point in ranking them because they're all so ****ty and inactive.
There's the title holders, and Toney and Rahman.
Until they face eachother, it's just a cluster of meidocrity with no one at #1.
You dont care what I think?
Thats why Im your biggest fan everyone else at Boxscene is always praising me and PMing me and telling me how Im right up there next to god on their p4p list.
You on the other hand give me rough love, you treat me like Ivan Lendl treats his four daughters...yup you guessed it with rough ass love!

As I said, it's really pointless ranking a bunch of meidocre fighters that haven't fought eachother.
You choose to put Vitali at the top, as would Vitali and Wlad's mom.
As I pointed out in the thread about the Ring title, I don't think there should be one fighter occupying to top spot until they've stepped up and made a statement by beating the other fighters around them.
Because if you look at their activity level, reccent and overall opposition, NONE of them stands out above the others.

....Ivan is mean to his daughters?? Kind of figures. He was such a humorless ****er when he played the game.

...Eventually your going to get your wish and I believe it will all be sorted out in the end. I don't really see a point in a Byrd/Klit fight at this time because Vitali would prove nothing by whipping up on Byrd at this point. Don't get me wrong, I wold love to see Vitali smack him around but I don't know what it does for Vit. Same thing for him beating Ruiz. I would be more intereted to see him fight Toney, Rahman, Brewster, or even Peter.
[QUOTE=pbds I wold love to see Vitali smack him around but I don't know what it does for Vit. Ruiz. .[/QUOTE]
it would be revenge, and it would also be the IBF belt which byrd still has.

...I hear ya, I just don't know what beating an old and nearly shot Byrd does for Vitali in the court of public opinion. As soon as he does it, it will be minimized.

...Hey Paul, the same thing applies with Ruiz. If Vit gets his belt what does it really mean? Would Vitali beating up on Ruiz impress you any and does that belt really mean jack ****? The man wearing the belt makes the belt and not the other way around.
