I just told you who the top Heavyweights are.

IMO, the top spot should be vacent, Vitali and Byrd would be even (slight edge going to Byrd for the fact he holds a "W" over Vitali), with Toney and Brewster after that, followed by Rahman and Ruiz.

It's really a cluster of meidocrity that doesn't look like it will sort itself out anytime soon.

I am either for the creation of a Super heavyweight division, (where the big oafs like the Klits and that guy who is 7'2 can fight. Leaving the Heavyweight division to Hasim Rahman, Monte Barrett, Dominick Guinn, Sam Peter ETC.) or the heavyweight division being abolished altogether.

....So you feel that Byrd would beat Vitali if they fought today?

I think Byrd is tyhe worst HW, he clearly lost to Oquendo, in my mind lost to Golota and the MCline fight could have gone either way. How he retained his belts in his last three fights is an act of god.

VK vs. Byrd took place a long time ago...there ranking should be based upon recent history not the distant past.

Reccent history like Vitali's only fight in the last 14 months being a win over Danny Williams?

I really don't care what you think.

He asked what my opinion of the rankings are and I gave it.

At this point, I don't even see much point in ranking them because they're all so ****ty and inactive.

There's the title holders, and Toney and Rahman.

Until they face eachother, it's just a cluster of meidocrity with no one at #1.

...Yeah and Byrd has been mediocre in his last three fights and is lucky to still have his belts. He is on the decline and Vitali is probably peaking and that fight would be a mismatch right now IMO.

i think byrd should be second on a top 5/10 list simply for the fact he has a very good record, rahman has had bad losses. as does brewster, and toney has beaten a shot holyfield, some journeyman and a no cotest against ruiz.

Before beating Al Cole, Mario Cawley, Rob Calloway, Terrence Lewis and Kali Meehan, Rahman was 0-3-1 agaisnt actual top 10 competition.

That's pretty weak putting him above the other title holders.
