    will byrd fight TOS??

or will he say TOS is undeserving of a title shot?? TOS's biggest wins are against jefferson, mccall and the black corey sanders... are there more worthy contenders out there?

brock - wins over mccline, etienne
peter - wins over williams, shufford

are there better fights?? like a title unification with ruiz? or a rematch with wlad?

in the end, i believe this fight will get made... why? cause both fighters belong to don king... TOS signed with king after his fight with wlad and after beating 2 non-existant fighters, he's the mandatory... byrd is the longest inactive champ in the division right now with no good excuse.... so this fight will take place and byrd will win... TOS has little chance IMO

According to King and Goosen, they are both working on a Toney Byrd fight.

Can't believe you left Toney out.

Byrd vs Ruiz was good as done before the Toney/Ruiz fight even went on. Toney wins and Byrd makes no mention of Toney.

Byrd is flying high from any top level opposition...I was a fan but no more, he lost my respect.

Byrd either fights Ruiz or Toney or he is on my **** list.

From a King interview on **********:

GL: Dan Goossen told me he's in the midst of negotiating a Byrd-Toney fight. What can you tell us about that?

Don King: "There's credibility to that and it's something that we're working on, it's a great fight and I will certainly be working towards making that fight happen.

forgot all about toney... the way byrd's been, i'm betting that he fights TOS... his opposition has been crap and his inactivity has been worse, as he sits around waits for a big payday to just drop in his lap....

i agree totally. there is no way that byrd "chooses" to fight toney. the only way it comes off is if there is enough money that byrd can retire afterwards.

being from michigan and growing up hearing about these guys all the time, id love to see them fight, maybe even at cobo here in detroit. but i have to say that i believe James Toney would really kick the **** out of byrd. byrd makes a living outboxing heavyweights and he cant outbox toney which leeaves him with no viable options.

not only would toney win this fight, he would take the time to brutalize Byrd before knocking him out. i think that it may be sad to see. to me, byrd is completely shot, and he has to prove me wrong.

              W. Klitschko vs. TOS ----> winner fights Byrd. That would be logical, imo.

It doesn't matter who is deserving, Tos is the mandatory for byrd now, he has to fight him or get stripped. TOS by tko in 8. byrd is done and it will show in this fight

as much as byrd has slipped, i think he still beats TOS... who has yet to beat one good fighter
