Very true. Plus DLH beat Trinidad and Don King paid off the judges. It was a travesty although I'm not that big of a DLH fan. And DLH got a gift decision against Sweat Pea and Quartey.

At the end of the day Trinidad was too telegraphed and one dimensional. DLH made him look bad and Hopkins exposed him. Trinidad was only dropped by decent punchers. Trinidad to me is one of the biggest punchers to have ever fought at welterweight. He did fight everyone that wanted a piece of him at the time. I think he could've been better with a different trainer and he never moved up to middleweight that fast. It's sad that welters had to come to middleweight so that Hopkins could unify the belts.

Trinidad was always dropped by decent punchers because he had terrible balance. The man threw his punches with such conviction that when he was countered (i.e. Vargas) he sacrificed his balance.

As for being trained by anyone else other then his father I couldn't have disagreed with you more, that had to be one of THE BEST father/son corners of that time. I mean I know Tito Sr was flawed in many ways regarding tactics but I couldn't see Tito leaving his father and be greater then he already was with any other trainer.

          I can't see it either...

If you didn't like Tito then you just don't like the sport of boxing period.

He got paid 8 figures. Even if you're already rich, it's gotta be really hard to turn that type of money down. Plus he was probably getting that itch to fight again that we so often see from boxers who can't stay away.

They could've atleast had a secondary trainer to help enhance him. Tito, Mosley, and Judah were all good trained by their fathers. I just think that when they reached the top they could've all been better if they atleast had a secondary trainer. I learned a lot from my father but on some things I wouldn't listen even though I knew he was right. Plus other trainers might know something better or new that brings you to a whole new level. Shane and his dad parted ways. Zab brought in a secondary now. I just think it was too late for them.

He was nothing special. Old ass rjj made him look ****** and so did bhop. Both those guys would've ran him over in their prime.

Sweet P was old, ODLH was way smaller.
