Comments Thread For: Andre Berto Talks Mosley, Wonders "Who is Mike Jones?"

WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto is still looking to secure an opponent for the fall. There were negotiations for a fight with Shane Mosley. Berto's request for a 50-50 split of the purse, according to Mosley, was a big problem with finalizing a deal. Mosley walked away from Berto and reached an agreement to fight Sergio Mora on September 18 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. [Click Here To Read More]

I bet if Berto suffered a loss and had a comeback fight he wouldn't give his opponent 50-50 or take a smaller purse.

sure, that's the reason why Berto opted not to face Mosley.

        kind of disappointing really.

berto's not at the level to demand 50/50 with mosley at this point in time. obviously, mosley had another option.

Berto is nobody to comand a 50-50 split. Whether Shane lost or not he just fought in a 1.4 mil ppv fight.

Berto and p will are f-ckin up their career with their ****** azz decisions they are making.

even though berto has sometime fought with the wrong gameplan he is one of the highly skilled boxers in the last few years, beatinf a direll and other bigger fighters in his amateur days and fighting some tough southpaws. mike jones may be the future, possibly stronger and bigger than berto at 147, but would probably lose.
