The issue isn't the definition of negotiating. The issue is what is being said (or what shouldn't be said). Both sides agreed not to say anything and Bob has gone against that.

And if you want to get down to semantics, it doesn't appear they have an agreement anyway. If an agreement had truly been reached we'd have a contract signed by both parties and Arum would be able to produce it. All we have is Arum's word, and that isn't good enough for me and many others at this point.

      This is the thing,

no stipulations have even been talked about.

All thats been said is, "both parties have reached an agreement and we're just waiting on a signature".

How is that negotiating in the media?

If you want to get down to semantics,

an agreement was reached between both fighters representatives. Representatives who are paid to negotiate.

Just stop now, because you're only looking sillier by the post.

How is hearing from only one fighter's representatives the same as an ironclad signed agreement that there will be a fight?

How is releasing any info before a signed agreement is reached not going to the media?

How is the countdown on Top Rank's website showing when or whether Floyd signs not going to the media before a signed deal is reached?

          Typical ***** diversionary tactics.

Answer a question, with a question.

I'm done with you. What Arum has said thus far,

is not negotiating in any way, shape or form.

          Now scram kid.

Arums only fault is using the media to pressure Floyd to sign the contract. Even DLH let it slip that the only stipulation is floyds agreement/signature to what was negotiated about. Who cares what the details were, Im sure Floyd told GBP what he wanted in advance- seriously.

It does seem that the media is pushing for the fight which is exactly what Arum wanted..Hope it gets done!

What I'm saying doesn't make me a "*****". It's one thing to be a stubborn Mayweather or Pacquiao fan (or hater), it's another to point out Arum's underhanded tactics. What I started saying, and what I'm still saying now, is that Bob Arum is killing this fight.

All you have to do is look at why the gag order was put in place. Neither side wants to seem as though the other is dictating terms. It's all about egos. Bob is now acting like he's got the upper hand by forcing May to sign. I think he's trying to kill the Mayweather fight to try and get Pac a title at 154 as leverage in the future, while trying to save face by making it seem like Team May killed the fight.

I don't remember the Media ever really being on his side but I think a lot of Writers and others are just trying to get him to reply tomorrow and take the fight, Mayweather don't real or listen to none of that

I do think the fight will happen but it won't be until May 2011 and don't expect no big press conference tomorrow, in fact don't expect ANY REPLY tomorrow

I don't know how many media are out there covering boxing but it was only a few, and i mean a few, that Mayweather had about testing. Most of them were neutral, reasoning why there is testing and why there shouldn't be one. Some of them critizine Floyd. And some media bashing on Floyd.
