That's why anyone who says "Golden Boy and Mayweather are awesome because they took the high road and didn't respond to Arum's talk" doesn't understand how the media works, or are blinded to see that Floyd's rep is on the line here. They look like idiots here who have no idea how to handle the media or the art of negotiation.

If Arum is full of crap, which is very likely, then Schaefer, Oscar and Floyd should have responded to every single one of his announcements right away. Forget the gag order, if Arum broke the gag order and is trying to sabotage the fight, then they are justified in firing away at that miserable old man with as much venom as possible.

Even if GBP and Mayweather are in the right and Arum is just lying like he usually does, they just lost the PR battle in the worst way. The story has already been out for two weeks that all sides agreed to terms and everyone is just waiting on Floyd.

To let Arum go TWO WEEKS(!) without responding to him doesn't make them look like noble negotiators trying to preserve a fight. It makes them look like cowards who have something to hide.

Unless of course, Mayweather accepts the fight tomorrow.
