I would say this. If Pac/Roach/TR was dead set in having that WW fight at a catch-weight. Then I think Cotto was the best choice.

Simply cuz I think Shane would of been even weaker fighting at a catch-weight than what Cotto would of been.

IMO personal opinion at 145 Cotto>Shane at 145. I just think Shane would of had way more trouble getting down that weight than Cotto would of. But, Shane= or maybe>Cotto at 147.

thing is these negotiations were supposed to be silent...but if that was the case they wouldn't be talking about it in the general sports media. i wouldn't doubt if all this was orchestrated to drum up publicity for this fight again.

especially since roach asked mosley to come down to 143 or 142. i take nothing from pac for his win over cotto...i think its one of his best.

Like it or not. Manny is Flop Stanks cash cow. Roach out of his own mouth said they wouldn't let Manny fight Mosely after he asked them to twice. He was too good. Too big. etc. But they took on Cotto after he was damaged goods. Safe in house fight for Manny Mooolah making Pacquiao.

Honestly I don't really think Mayweather gives a **** about what anyone says.

I'd rather listen to Brian Kenny say **** about Floyd rather than the PTI guys.

Because Brian Kenny actually criticizes both Pac and Floyd.
