Monte Barrett has lost 6 of his last 9 fights

because there's always a need for known fighters to be used as tuneups or gatekeepers.

Barrett is not even those at this point. It's a pointless fight for Tua. Maybe a third Rahman fight will happen soon. At least that's a reasonable fight, despite Rahman being over the hill.

all of tua's fights recently has been pointless.

        he's old , he's past it , he's not a big name anymore , he's not a draw anymore.

he's just fighting to stay in shape , keep active in the hopes that he can get a nice payday offer in the future.

I thought the Cameron fight was somewhat meaningful. There was a rivalry between these two guys and they finally finished it inside the ring. And Tua's KO of Cameron was vintage highlight reel stuff. This fight launched David back into the mix and got hw fans excited about him again...

even valuev knocked this guy out he shouldn't be allowed to box for his own safety. he's gonna be full-****** pretty soon and you never want someone to go full-******.

You're right. Monte Barrett has taken alot of punishment and been KO'd numerous times in recent years. It's kind of the 'dark side of boxing.' You have a guy who's in there, just to get KO'd and provide some record padding...

Hey, maybe Monte will surprise us....

That's keeping it real. This fight is a joke.

From what I've heard 2 gunz has had an actual training camp and didn't take this fight last notice.
