This fight just ain't happening so everybody needs to get over it. Both guys are DIVAS who just happen to be the best two fighters at the moment, and everybody thinks they are more important to boxing than they really are. I'm gonna watch boxing regardless if they fight each other or not.

Don't get me wrong I want to see the fight as much as the next person, but I'm not obsessed with it like most people on here.

A pal at Top Rank informs me that the contract for this contest is quite real and that Floyd is quite content waiting another year to do this thing. For Manny, the possibilities are still vast. As for Floyd, he has ran out of good fortune. There is only one Shane and he shall remain past his prime. Mayweather will not risk doing battle with anyone other then Manny but only when Mayweather dictates. Floyd's history tells us that he must construct the ultimate advantage. Only Manny declining in skill will provide such an possibilty.
Common sense and history tell us that Mayweather cannot defeat Manny Pacquiao as of now.
Marquez and Mosely were exhibitions disguised as prizefights.
This fact declares that Floyd is a much better promoter then Arum when it comes to promoting the Mayweather trademark which is duck and cover.
          24 shutout rounds...no competition...50 million dollars.
          Floyd is good allright.

Oddly, I found myself wondering about the dead silence concerning Mayweather/Pacquiao negotiations at the beginning of july as I was watching ESPN with everyone else. Would it not have made more sense to capitalize in the international media coverage of the World Cup and have an announcement last Saturday? Maybe even have Floyd and Manny make a surprise appearance at the event in South Africa on the eve of the Championship final between Spain and Holland?

That would have been quite a marketing coup IMHO for HBO, Top Rank and Golden Boy

Floyd needs to be okay with the PAC fight

FLOYD finally got a little respect from BOXING FANS when he decided to fight 1 of the top 3 in his own class by fighting SHANE MOSLEY.. but if he stalls on this FLOYD vs PAC match.. his reputation is back to being SCARED ****LESS..

Floyd need to make the fight happen already. I remember when he was called out by Marquez, he signed the fight right away.
