you guys kill me over this. didn't you guys see the press conference after the mayweather-mosley fight? de la hoya said floyd dictates EVERYTHING!!! when, where, how. EVERYTHING!! So I knew this fight wasn't gonna happen when Bob Arum started talking about Manny had a date open for Nov. 13th. Cause ya see that's Manny's date that's not Floyd's date. Floyd will pick the date. That's just the way it is. And you guys can't get mad cause noone told Manny to fight Clottey. I said it before and I'll say it again. They quickly signed onto Clottey cause they thought Floyd had no options and would have to fight m. hatton or malignaggi. And then the whole world would say Manny is takin on a bigger fighter and floyd is fighting a smaller fighter and manny would get all the glory right? WRONG Mosley got freed up and it all went downhill for team pac. Now they lost all their leverage and they can't blame noone but theirselves. They tried to screw Floyd and screwed themselves in the process. So they can cry about 50/50 is fair but no it's not. Pac can have all the fans in the world but if they don't buy the fights then what does it mean? Floyd can have all the haters in the world but if their buying the fights then what does that mean? IT MEANS FLOYD GETS THE BIGGER SPLIT!!! PERIOD

No chance this fight gets made...Floyd has been silent for weeks as his team...to me that says he has had next to no input in the terms and it hasn't been negotitated properly.

All this is- is Top Rank sending an "offer" to Floyd and saying take it or leave it. Nothing negotitable about it. Arum sucks

As I read some of these comments, I realize in Boxing being number 1 isn't about two boxers duking it out in the ring to gain supremacy. Being the best starts with who has the upper hand, who call the shots during the negotiations, who has the first and last say. But most interesting from reading these posts, the fans would rather NOT see the fight happen if their guy doesn't have the upper hand in the negotiating process, rather than having the score settled in the ring with the two fighters.
