Do I need I-O to get Showtime?

For those of you that live in the Tri-State area and I guess New York as well, do I need I/O to get Showtime? I typed in my zip code at the Showtime website to see if it's available in my area and it seems to only be available on I/O which is a total scam. I don't want to have to pay for I/O, HBO, and Showtime all together. I just want HBO and Showtime with my regular cable, grrr.

who is your cable provider? as ****ty as comcast is they still offer HBO and Shotime with their basic cable package. They won't by the year's end, but as of now they do.

It's cablevision though since you mention yours won't by the year's end, I can imagine cablevision already cut it. They are money whores and will do anything immediately to make people have to change or pay more. Ah well...
