I'm surprised at the concentrated venom and critical hyperbole that you guys have been spewing. There are a few mature guys amongst you, and truthfully I think you've caught "teenager-itis" from the other kids who issue more crap than an army latrine could hold.

You don't seem to have any appreciation for a guy who does his best to entertain, has been a world champion, and could easily be again. Every damned thing he wears , does, or says, is verbally torn to pieces in a most juvenile and foull mouthed manner, by guys who seem to have been brought up in the streets.

And I mean the most disreputable steeets of their towns or cities. You don't seem to appreciate anything or anyone, and allow me to tell you, that you are behaving in a way, that, if you have any streak of humanity and decency hidden somewhere, there will come a time when you look at yourselves in a mirror, and realise that you regret the way you have behaved to others.

If the mirror doesn't immediately burst into shards and splinters, then there MAY be a little hopw that you will turn into decent citizens, wanting to make a decent life for yourselves and whoever you are joined to.

I hope this happens soon, because you guys are destroying what used to be the best, most interesting, most challenging boxing site in the business. I like to read the comments and opinions, at least I USED to like them, but now I can only cringe, and rush past most of them, which are not worth a spit.

I think he means the people show him respect over here and treat him well whereas in the US he has to deal with hordes of haters. Floyd Mayweather says the same thing, as do US rappers when they come to Europe.

They're appreciated for what they do here as opposed to what they can't, whereas when they go home there's so much negativity surrounding them.

Paulie just doesn't have any power and when he talks about getting under or pulling, he just means that he's thinking about ducking as he punches. He knows that he can't hurt anybody, so he apologizes when he lands a punch, but it doesnt matter, the other guy doesn't feel it. He is what he is, all flash and no ****.

He's not really "foul mouthed". at least not nearly as much as 80% of those who post about him. Also He is no more a braggart than a majority of the fighters we hear on the various shows. It's the nature of the beast, the more he sounds off, the more "interest he's supposed to arouse, resulting in admirers or others coming to either see him win, or see him lose. And those who would like to see him lose, want to see his battered, broken body carried out of the arena on a stretcher, covered in blood. The latter, it seems, recite that hope in their prayers, morning and night in the highly unlikely event that they even know a prayer.

I myself, see him as being highly articulate, and rather amusing, a lot more so tham most other fighters, who can barely stitch 2 words together. And I know that he really does havr much respect for other fighters, and can very intelligently explain the technical components possessed by other fighters. I remember when at an interview, more than a few years ago, a derogatory comment was made about Hector Camacho Jr. he replied that he happened to have a great deal of respect for Camacho as a fighter, and anything he said about boxing should be listened to, that he would be very gratified if Camacho expressed a good opinion of him as a fighter. Or words to that effect.

To me, this showed the REAL Paulie Malignaggi.

Why such naked hatred against a human being they don't even know, with whom they have never exchanged a single word, who has never done them an injury, but, on the contrary, has provided them with entertainment, at considerable risk to his "life and limb"??

Malignaggi making excuses after yet another gutless effort when it came time to step up in class. What else is new?

The fact that this joker continues to pick up fights thet he doesn't deserve, and the true boxing fan doesn't want to see,is a sad indictment of how low the sport of boxing has sunk.

Retreating to the ropes and cowering is the sign of defeat.Just like he did against Hatton,Malignaggi quit.fortunately for him,Steve Smoger is a decent chap and stopped it for him.
