But, neither should of been fighting for the title. You do agree with that right?

Matter of fact is it safe to say that Margarito last opponent at 154>Ricardo Mayorga opponent that got him that shot for the WBC title at 154?

Hell is it also safe to say that Margarito last opponent at 154>Any Picirillo opponent at 154 up to the Mayorga bout?

If Floyd doesn't sign the contract, another fighter must take his place,it's really that simple!!Both guys are a-ight,but neither 1 to me is God's gift to boxing,If Floyd assumes out the blue that Manny is dopping & Manny takes offence & they end up not fighting, boxing will move on,I think fight fans need to forget bout them 2 fighting each other & move on with boxing as a whole!!

mayorga fighting for a belt was the result of don king's bull**** just like thid would be the result of bob arum's bull****. all i remember about eric mitchell is that he was coming off a win against alejandro berrio who was a decent middle weight at one time. since mayorga technically fought trinidad at middleweight i assume you were talking about garcia being better than mitchell. whether its mayorga vs piccirilo or pac vs marg...it sucks either way. these belts and all the shady dealings with the sanctioning bodies diminishes boxing.

if pac can't hurt margarito it could get ugly. can pac keep margarito off of him with boxing skill alone? that could be a debate in itself. i think you're right about marg being too slow...but he does have a long reach and as the fight wears on the distance usually becomes less as the fighters slow down.
