Would it be in Pac's best interest to Fight Margarito in Mexico?

I don't know the time difference for where Arum was thinking of having the fight in the Middle East but I assume it could negatively impact the ability to stage the fight there. That brings us to Mexico. Pac has victories over some Mexican greats and a fight with another noteworthy Mexican in Mexico could create a hostile environment. Maybe its a good idea in way since it will provide a mental test for Pac that if he passes will prepare him for the mental wars in the future with Mayweather. I would suspect though that team Pac would be concerned about the fans swaying the judges and favoritism for Margarito. Arum may try to level the playing field as much as possible since Pac is his top guy but I would still be a bit weary of something like this is I was on Pac's team. Thoughts?

I was thinking the same, but as you said, it's unlikely Arum would put his best guy in a unfair position. IDK what they would do, but I suspect it's going to at 154 against Cotto or Margarito without question.

But if pac is going to retire in 1 or 2 fights, then bob needs to create a new big name for his stable. Juanma and JCC \are not quite there yet. Cotto isn't as big. Pavlik is crap.

Margarito is no guarantee either at this point. Its more of trying to have an alternative for the Floyd fight. And Cotto is a bigger name than Margarito.

We already saw the Cotto fight so that may be a tougher sell so I think Margarito would get the shot hands down if his license was in order. But the Mexico thing is a monkey wrench to me.
