Sure they do Mannys career PPV numbers from 126-135 when compared to Floyds.

Will Mayweather sign the contract? Depends on what's detailed in it. Without knowing that much, I couldn't say whether he'd sign it or not.

I don't blame Pac's camp for seeking out alternative fights. If a fight with Mayweather doesn't come about, I wouldn't expect Pac to sit around getting rusty. He has every right to go out and fight to keep himself sharp and earn some scratch. I'm not really excited at the prospects though; as they're a sad replacement for the fight that Pac-Mayweather would be. I like Cotto (I had picked him to beat Pac), but I don't think he's in his prime anymore and I don't think he could beat Pac, even at 154. And I don't think Margarito should be allowed to fight Pac for a belt. He doesn't deserve that opportunity.

As for Floyd, I wouldn't blame him for not signing. If the contract doesn't meet his demands (and he's allowed to make demands, just like Pac was allowed to demand catchweights in some of his recent fights), then why should he be obligated to sign off on it? Just to please the fans? We're not the ones who have to step in the ring. Not only that, but this whole thing with Roger complicates things even more. Losing a trainer is a pretty big deal. I wouldn't want to go into a super fight without my trainer either. People will still say that he's ducking Pac of course, but who really cares? It just means that either the contract didn't meet his approval, or the circumstances weren't right for him to go into a super fight.

Still, I'll be disappointed if this fight doesn't happen.

Look man. Manny, anyway you cut it, is not the man right now. Floyd is. He is the strongest B side since Floyd. But as of today, floyd is kobe. manny is pau. No offense to manny. Dude duran was b side to leonard. Hagler was b side to leonard. Chavez was b side to ODH. This is the business they have chosen. Its who puts asses in the seats and ppv sales. And, anyway we cut it, floyd is better at that than manny, despite manny's "crowd pleasing" style.

IMO I dont think he will whatever it says in the contract. I hate to be a pessimist but Floyds fear of Pac is obvious. Im putting up 1M the fight he doesnt sign it.

I think being able to push good PPV numbers in weight classes that never had any real PPV stars to an American audience while fighting nothing but non American fighters is very valid! Lets also not forget that Floyds PPV numbers were zero in these weight classes and Manny isn't even an American fighter himself.

I wouldn't lose sleep over it. With all honesty, it won't be a surprise if he didn't sign. It will be dissapointing, but not surprising. I can understand why he wouldn't sign the contract it makes sense. You can't negotiate old terms with new facts on the table (PPV revs and Marketing power).
