It is also a consideration that Floyd fought the #2 and #3 P4P fighters.

Pac fought a #8ish and an unranked P4P fighter (although Josh was the #5 rated WW).

Yeah. My argument was never about 2 fights. It was a direct reply to someone saying the Clottey win was more impressive than the Mosley win.

This suprises me, ESPN have always seemed to be abit biased against Floyd. Especially Dan "The *******" Rafael. But it's not easy to see why Mayweather is the best, Pacquiao only became "The best" because Mayweather retired. Had he stuck around rematched De La Hoya then nobody would be talking about Pacquiao.

right, you can make a case for either guy really since both Floyd & Pac dominated in their fights. , but my thing with Floyd is that Marquez moved up two weight classes to fight floyd and floyd didn't even bother making weight (which resulted in the $600,000 penalty), so to me that hurts him a bit.

Again, imo, Pac (the smaller guy) moving up to welterweight and fighting two actual legit welterweights (a champ & a top 5 guy) was a bit more impressive, especially the TKO victory over Cotto. Also considering how tough each of these fights were supposed to be for him.

It's just a matter of how one looks at it, no right or wrong pick here, both had a great year obviously.

To be fair, was anyone picking Joshua clottey? I don't know that the fight was perceived as a tough one for Manny. The only question was whether Pac would be the first guy to stop Clottey.

Well I don't think there was a single person who said it would be a complete lopsided shutout. I think the feeling was Clottey would be a real tough opponent for Pac. But obviously Pac was the heavy favorite to win.

I would have been more impressed with the Clottey win if Clottey had actually fought back. Mayweather shut Mosley's offense down, Clottey's didn't exsist.
