Last Saturday in Puerto Rico, WBA interim super flyweight champion Nonito Donaire made his final appearance at 115-pounds, when he knocked out challenger Hernan "Tyson" Marquez in eight rounds. Donaire is now moving up to bantamweight and his promoter, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, wants to match him in some very big fights.

Is just me or are all the filipinos going up in weigth lately loosing all their fights. I guess they all can't be like Manny. Any ways both would be good fights for Donaire but the way Vazquez jr has been developing , i think he would be to much for Donaire.

donaire might be moving up a bit too quickly and his last couple of opponents have been much smaller guys so hes gonna have some trouble win or lose

that being said montiel and vasquez jr are very good champions and pandas not even sure he'll be able to handle those guys but uve got to give him props for chasing the big meaningful fights right now
