The brain injury was from a motorcycle accident many years ago. He continues to fight in other countries while he waits for an appeal here in the states. However I don't think he will get it since he continues to fight dispite his suspension.

this is the same problem joe mesi has. except mesi got his brain injury in a fight not an accident and mesi doesnt have an streak of 1st round KOs. and neither man will get a liscense in america because the boxing commission's are too damn overprotective of injured fighters.

I've seen him spar a lot, he says he has to go easy or he'd knock the sparring partners out too. I watched him give Morales hell in sparring for Manny Pac.

                ah i see.

personally i will never ever own one of those crotch rockets.one killed a friend of mine, he had a small amount of dope on him, i think like two ounces of weed and was delivering it across town on a rainy day. a cop got behind him and turned his lights on, and dude tried to outrun the cop. Somehow he screwed up and ended up smashing into the back of an 18 wheeler carrying a load. the empty 18 wheelers rear sliding thing was halfway open, my friend went over the handlebars and his head hit the door, snapped his neck like a twig.

Sorry about your friend but I don't know if he was riding a rocket or a hog. Either way you look at it a wreck on either one will mess you up. I don't know what testing they did here state side but they refuse to give him a license. I just wish I knew exactly what the findings were and why they refuse to give him a license. Back in the day they rejected licenses for a detached retinae(spelling). Now a surgery can fix it. Wonder if its the same case here.

The Edwin Valero camp says they have test from other doctors outside of New York that say that his head injury from the crash shouldn't affect him now.
