I would prefer him to fight Williams instead of Margarito or Cotto. You should look at it from Pacquiao's perspective as well.

This is a no win situation for both fighters, at least with people on this site.

If Paul Williams wins, he is a cherry picker who fought an unfairly smaller guy and won, which he won't get credit for.

If Pac wins, Paul Williams was overrated the whole time and weight drained for having to come down to 147 for the first time in two years.

No one benefits from this. They each have a fight that needs to be made, Paul against Martinez and Pac against Mayweather. We shouldn't be accepting anything else.

Because i tell you if pac wins this fight i put money that everybody will say williams is weight drain.

Pac and floyd should get some real pass for not fighting Williams because they both came from far smaller weight class especially pacquaio. Williams right now doing the same **** that donaire, and i see people not giving donaire the same pass williams is getting.
I would give him credit, but I also give him a lot more credit for the De La Hoya win than most. Even though De La Hoya was shot and weight drained, shot and weight drained great fighters are supposed to be able to crush someone moving up two (in reality, three) divisions. Pacquiao's win was pretty badass.

I also give Pacquiao credit for days for the Hatton win. I'm a lot less critical of Pacquiao's resume than most.

I sympathize with Donaire for not getting any good fights, but... the Ring ranking him #4 P4P really pisses me off, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that, because it is 100% absurd. His one win over Darchinyan (with decent wins over Martinez and Mthalane) does not vault him over the likes of Williams, Dawson, Martinez or Caballero in my opinion. Hell, include Ivan Calderon to that list. Those guys have multiple good wins, and haven't been decisively beaten in quite a while (Martinez is the only person with a recent loss, and it was razor thin to Williams).

If both answers are yes, I'm confused why the best fighters in the division get a pass on fighting him.

Although I wouldn't mind Bradley and Berto gettin' in the mix, but that's not my preference.
thank you. What happen to if you can make the weight you can fight the fight.

If Pacquiao can fight Margarito, he can fight Williams!

Margarito who had held on to his welterweight title forever? That win is pretty legit, considering it was a prospect stepping WAY up for the first time, and him totally taking care of business against a tough customer for anyone on any given night. Plaster wraps or not, it's tough for a prospect to learn how to beat a guy who rushes forward oozing pressure and nonstop punches all night.
