Hearns was trying to box his way to victory.Leonard had him on the run since the eighth round.Hearns got stopped, not because he "made the mistake of tradin" but because he got hurt and was left in there with one of the most ruthless finishers of the last thirty years.

and that was even a Hearns that weighed in at 145lbs. that probably didnt help his stamina much, its obvious the guy had trouble making weight

In which case you'd be wrong.Hearns never struggled to make the welterweight limit. His greatest issue when moving up from 147 was putting on weight.

Hearns was rocked several times in sixth round and again in the seventh. To claim Leonard won just two or three rounds is beyond absurd.

the only one that could challenge him is McCallum...whos body work and overall expertise would pose a big threat to Hearns in the late rounds of the fight.
McCallum would break Hearns down and stop him and Julian Jackson would K.O Hearns if he landed, that fight would be a complete 50-50 fight, first one to land wins.

Tito Knocks him the fux out. He is too chinny to handle Titos Power.

Im sorry but this thread is ridiculous. Floyd Mayweather may out box the sht out of him too.

and in no way shape or form is Tommy Hearns the best offensive fighter ever!!!

Tito beats Hearns? Your kidding right? Hearns would ice Tito early. I also think Floyd gets beat as well. Hearns' offensive skill set would just be too much for Floyd. Too long, great jab, amazing right hand, dude was vicious at the welterweight limit.

Chick'n floyd would have feen easily dealt with by Hearns.Dem 'slick' African American skills would have gotten him nowhere.

The only way to beat Hearns was by having a pair of balls.Non-stop pressure with the willingness to endure as much punishment as possible to finally open up the target.

Mayweather creeping forward like he did against Mosley would have gotten his glass jaw shattered.

I believe SRL still beats him in twelve.

Sugar ray Robinson was the best, lost only 1 by KO in 202 fights, won 175 (108 KO) i see no one beating SRR in the welterweight. Jimmy Doyle who was 43-6 got killed by one left hook from SRR in a world welterweight title fight...
